Storage

 

Cocoa should never be stored for a significant period of time before shipment.

• Ensure proper humidity control to avoid re-humidification of the beans.

• Store on gratings or decking and allow at least 7 cm air space above the floor to avoid rodent and insect pests.

• Store away from any strong odours.

• Forced air ventilation, fumigation and good phyto-sanitary practices contribute towards optimal storage conditions.
